Family policies
Photos of your child
We ask your written permission before we share any photo of your child, on this site, in newsletters or on social media, and you can change your answer at any time. We never put a child's name with a photo, and the photos on this site are examples until we replace them with our own.
When to keep your child home
A child with a fever, vomiting or a contagious illness stays home until they are well. If a child becomes ill at school, we call you, and a teacher stays with them until you arrive.
Drop-off and pickup
Children go home only with an adult on your family's list, and we check ID at the door. If someone who is not on the list comes, we call you first.
Late pickup
If you will be late, call or text the school and we will stay with your child. If it happens often, the teaching director talks with you.
Meals, snacks and allergies
Snack is served each morning, prepared by the parent on duty and eaten together. Families send lunch for the afternoon class. Tell us about allergies at the tour, and give us the details privately once you enroll.
Closures for weather and holidays
We close for school holidays and for the winter break. In bad weather, we follow the local school district's closings and text families before 7 a.m.
What to wear and bring
Children wear clothes that can get messy and shoes they can run in. Please send a labeled bag with a full change, and a coat, hat and mittens or rain boots in season. We go outside most days.
Leaving the program
We ask for written notice a month before a child leaves. We explain what happens to the month in progress in writing when you enroll.
Absences and late arrival
Text the school by 8:30 a.m. if your child will miss a class. If you cannot make your duty morning, swap with another family and tell the teacher.
Ask us at a tour
Tours are in the morning, while a class is meeting.
